What this means for you
You get a chance to move into a brand new, safe building.
This is where it all begins. You and your neighbours talk about whether your building should be redeveloped — perhaps it is old, needs repairs, or members want more space. The government also encourages redevelopment of old buildings for the safety of residents.
All decisions must follow the 4th July 2019 Government Guidelines from the very start.
Steps — how this unfolds

What this means for you
You sign a letter confirming you want redevelopment.
Before any official work begins, your society needs written approval from its members. This is done through individual letters, consent forms, and a formal members' meeting called an SGM (Special General Meeting). Think of this as everyone raising their hand and putting it in writing.
Steps — how this unfolds

What this means for you
Experts are now hired to guide your society at every step.
A PMC (Project Management Consultant) and an Architect are the two key professionals who will guide your society through the entire redevelopment process. They help you understand what is possible, what is fair, and what to watch out for. Choose them carefully — they work for your society, not the developer.
